Fusite strives to provide the highest quality, fastest response and best cost producer of Hermetic Terminals and Metal Products that meets or exceeds customer needs and expectations. This requires an uncompromising attitude towards the Quality aspect of manufacturing.

To achieve this, customer satisfaction, and increased productivity, our guiding principles are:

Quality assured processes
Unending pursuit of zero defects
Approved suppliers
Lot traceability
Inspection is out, prevention is in
Timely response to concerns
Year on year improvement

Fusite is committed to continuous improvement of its products and processes through various problem-solving methods, including Design of Experiments, 8-Disciplines, and Six Sigma.

Increasingly sophisticated tools are required with each progression up the quality ladder. At lower Sigma levels, tools and techniques such as basic problem solving and process mapping apply. As the Sigma level increases, advanced tools such as Process Optimization, Lean Manufacturing and Design for Six Sigma come into play.

Six Sigma is a statistical measurement, allowing the measurement of the quality of products. A level of Six Sigma represents the apex of quality-- the virtual elimination of defects from every product and process in a company- 3.4 rejects per million parts produced. We measure our performance in levels of PPM, and constantly drive to reduce reject rates to the Six Sigma level, and beyond.

Fusite currently has several Six Sigma Green-Belts on staff. The prestigious Green-Belt certification requires an intense level of training received over a course of four months in the Six Sigma problem solving methodology.

We continue to improve our processes through the initial design and by Design of Experiments throughout the process lifecycle. Processes are monitored through Cpk analysis to insure they produce the levels of quality expected. Coupled with improvements in technologies, such as Electronic Vision Inspection, gauging systems and robotic systems, our process yields continue to improve year after year.

As part of our continuous improvement activities in customer satisfaction, the 8-Disciplines methodology is applied to all customer quality issues to insure effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action feedback.

Fusite has been ISO 9001 certified since 1997 by KPMG at the Cincinnati facilities. Fusite - Europe and Japan are ISO 9001 certified, and our China facility will be certified in 2001.
